EXPERTISE. BETTER DECISIONS. PRACTICAL AI.

Your expertise.
Put to work.

Turn what your business knows
into tools your team can use.

I help small to mid-sized companies turn their expertise and processes into practical AI tools—so teams can find answers, make informed decisions, and depend less on the same few people.

WHEN KNOWLEDGE GETS STUCK

Your business knows how.
But too much depends on who.

When answers live in scattered files and a few experienced people, decisions wait, work gets repeated, and service quality can depend on who is available. Growth puts more pressure on the people you already rely on.

01

Answers take too long to find.Teams search files or ask around, repeating work that someone has already done.

02

Decisions wait on a few people.Routine questions interrupt experienced colleagues and leave others waiting to move forward.

03

Good practice is hard to repeat.New colleagues learn by asking, and consistent service depends on who happens to be available.

SELECTED WORK

Knowledge, given form.

Three examples of turning existing expertise and information into tools people can use in their work.

01EXPERTISE → ASSESSMENT

Let prospects experience your expertise.

An agency’s storytelling methodology became an interactive assessment—bringing its expert point of view into the first client conversation.

A deployed website assessment applies the rubric and produces structured findings and a report.

SELECTED WORK / 01

Let prospects experience your expertise.

An agency’s storytelling methodology became an interactive assessment—bringing its expert point of view into the first client conversation.

The challenge

The agency had a distinctive way to assess a company’s story. Applying it depended on an expert, and prospective clients had limited ways to experience that thinking before an engagement.

My contribution

I worked with the team to structure the assessment rubric, build the analysis experience, and deliver a report flow based on the agency’s own methodology.

What was delivered

A website assessment, structured findings, and a report experience.

What it demonstrates

A working, deployed assessment that gives the agency a new way to introduce its expertise. Lead-generation impact remains a separate measurement question.

02KNOWLEDGE → INTELLIGENCE

Give existing knowledge a useful next chapter.

A team’s accumulated ideas and presentation material became an AI system for finding connections and developing new client stories.

SELECTED WORK / 02

Give existing knowledge a useful next chapter.

A team’s accumulated ideas and presentation material became an AI system for finding connections and developing new client stories.

The challenge

Useful ideas and presentation material existed, but the team needed a better way to find, connect, and apply that knowledge to new work.

My contribution

I defined the use case with the team, structured their existing knowledge, and designed and built an AI system that connects relevant ideas and helps shape new client stories.

What was delivered

An AI-powered knowledge system for exploring past work, surfacing relevant ideas, and developing new story directions.

What it demonstrates

How a firm’s accumulated thinking can become an active resource for new work, extending the value of its expertise across the team.

03DATA → DECISIONS

Make the next decision easier to see.

Fragmented account and revenue information became a decision tool, bringing priorities, patterns, and next actions into one place.

SELECTED WORK / 03

Make the next decision easier to see.

Fragmented account and revenue information became a decision tool, bringing priorities, patterns, and next actions into one place.

The challenge

A small commercial team needed to understand which accounts deserved attention and how to act on information spread across business records.

My contribution

Working through Hot Cognition, I brought the data into a practical intelligence view with account detail, pipeline context, revenue trends, and attention flags.

What was delivered

An interactive account and revenue intelligence dashboard.

What it demonstrates

A delivered decision surface and a documented refresh approach. Better visibility is a demonstrated capability; revenue uplift requires separate evidence.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

From a good question
to a working answer.

You work directly with me—from shaping the problem to building, testing, and handing over the solution.

01

Find what matters.

Start with a recurring decision, delay, or task. Identify the knowledge it depends on, the cost of the friction, and what a better outcome would look like.

A clear use case & scope
02

Make it tangible.

Turn the relevant knowledge into a working tool. Test it against real questions and decisions with the people who will use it, keeping expert review where judgment matters.

A useful, tested tool
03

Put it in your hands.

Fit the tool into everyday work, establish who owns it, and agree how to assess its usefulness as the team begins using it.

A scientist’s curiosity.
A builder’s instinct.

Founder, Octopus Innovation Partners

I’ve always been drawn to the space between an interesting possibility and something people can actually use.

My career began in semiconductor research at Bell Labs, then moved through technology incubation at Nokia and into data, analytics, and AI. The common thread is making sense of complex problems and turning that understanding into something practical.

Today, I combine advisory judgment with hands-on building. You work directly with me, with trusted collaborators brought in when the work calls for them.

I also run Nature Behind Glass, a terrarium studio—another expression of my curiosity, care for detail, and love of making things.
